About Alan Scott Rosenthal
Alan was born in Bronx, New York, however, most of his youth was spent in Coral Springs, Florida. He began his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he obtained a full scholarship as the principle bassoonist for the Loyola University Orchestra. Alan continued his studies at the University of Florida, where he received, in June of 1994, his Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication, as well as a music minor and business concentration. Alan completed his educational studies at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he received his Juris Doctorate in December of 1997. Alan’s legal focus has been as a Marital and Family Lawyer and he is well known and respected among his peers as a professional advocate for his clients. Additionally, Alan has provided legal services in criminal, civil, probate, dependency, personal injury, foreclosure defense and bankruptcy. Alan was first admitted to practice in the Middle District of Florida in July of 1998. Alan has been married to his wife, Katherine since 1995 and has been blessed with two beautiful children Kailyn and Jacob. Alan’s wife “Kathy” works for the Pinellas County School system as a PreK/Head Start Compliance Educational Diagnostician. Alan is extremely involved in his children’s education and their extracurricular activities. Currently, he helps instruct Goju Ryu Karate at his children’s Martial Arts School and enjoys rock climbing with his children. Outside of Alan’s profession foray he is an avid wood worker, musician and martial artist. Alan’s charitable spirit has him extremely involved with the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Florida, a philanthropic organization. Alan currently holds the title of Grand Orator and State Chairman of Penal Affairs. Alan is also currently the legal advisor for the Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Patron. Additionally, he is a Past District Deputy Grand Master, Past Master of his Masonic Lodge, and has held multiple state and local appointments. Alan is a member of Shriners International (Shriners), a 32° Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Florida York Rite, and a member of the Grotto
