About Albert Gavin-Wayne Gill
A. Wayne Gill is the Managing Partner and CEO of Gill Law Firm, P.A., a law firm with offices in Delray Beach, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia, representing major corporations such as AT&T, SunTrust Bank and JM Family Enterprises in Commercial Litigation, Creditor’s Rights, Collections and Recovery. He is a frequent inspirational speaker and the author of “Tales My Grandma Told Me – A Business Diversity Fable” and “The Runner,” a Christian legal thriller. “Tales” and its recent revised edition, “This Business of Supplier Diversity” has been referred to by some readers as the “Bible” of Supplier Diversity. He was recently profiled in Fortune Magazine online for his portrayal of wisdom gleaned from his grandparents, reflected in the pages of his books. Over the years, Gill has been recognized among the 50 Most Powerful Black Professionals in South Florida and the Who’s Who in Black South Florida. He’s received Macy’s Crystal Award for Outstanding Minority Business Advocacy, and several honors from national legal and business institutions, including Northwood University’s Arthur E. Turner Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Betterment of Mankind. He is Secretary of the Board of Directors for The Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council. He is the Co-founder of the Caribbean Bar Association, a platform for lawyers of Caribbean descent to give back to disempowered communities. He obtained his B.A. Degree in English, with a concentration in writing, from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where he was a Teaching Assistant to distinguished professor of English, James Miller and served as president of the Black Student’s Union. Gill earned his law degree from George Washington University, in Washington DC, with Honors in Trial Advocacy. While at GW Law, he clerked for the Honorable Arthur L. Burnett, Sr., the sitting Chief Judge of The District of Columbia Superior (Trial) Court. He was also a law clerk to the District of Columbia, Office of the Corporation Counsel, in the Civil Trial Division. He is a graduate of the Minority Business Executive MBA Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His law firm is among ’s recent honorees for the nation’s top diverse businesses nationwide. Gill is a co-founder, board member and legal advisor to Oasis Compassion Agency, a non-profit empowerment agency providing food, clothing, Biblical counseling and job opportunities for the disadvantaged throughout Palm Beach County, Florida. For roughly a decade, Oasis has helped thousands of families restore their dignity by providing resources and tools to improve their quality of life. The agency has received numerous awards and recognition for its outstanding work in the community. He resides in Lake Worth, Florida with his wife Sharon; proud parents of Gavin and Brittany.
