About Alexei Vasilyevich Lizanich
Alexei has been a member of the Florida Bar and a licensed attorney since 2013. Alexei has handled thousands of criminal cases as assigned lead trial counsel, including homicides and sexual offenses. He has defended thirty-two criminal trials as the first or second chair attorney. Both before, and during his time as an Assistant Public Defender, Alexei served as a Paralegal of the Judge Advocate General's Corps, U.S. Army Reserve, for nearly 10 years. Alexei, as a uniformed member, has deployed to Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Germany, and conducted stateside activations as well. Alexei investigated and prepared cases of senior leader misconduct, including personally interviewing suspects and witnesses, and preparing remedies under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), and developed and presented training nationwide to large audiences of Service members on the UCMJ. Alexei also held a national security clearance and worked with classified information and projects. Alexei is a lifetime member of the VFW and regular member of the Amerian Legion. Alexei has also volunteered for the Florida Guardian ad Litem program. As a certified volunteer, Alexei investigated and presented reports about the wellbeing of children taken from their homes. For this volunteer work, he graduated with Pro Bono Honors from Florida Coastal School of Law. Alexei practices primarily family law and criminal law.
