About Benjamin Lee Bedrava

As a Supervising Attorney at Catholic Charities Legal Services of Miami, ADOM, I provide legal U.S. immigration services to migrants and refugees of diverse nationalities who settle in South Florida. The focus of my practice is on children’s rights issues pertaining to unaccompanied minors and adults in deportation proceedings.

I represent minors and young adults in state court proceedings where we advocate for their best interest and permanency goals. Through our network of non-profit sites, I also assist with repatriation of youths who wish to return to their home countries by providing them the resources they need to safely reintegrate back into their communities.

I represent vulnerable populations of migrants who are victims of violent crimes, domestic violence, labor exploitation, and trafficking. Additionally, I represent individuals and family units in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court as well as in their affirmative applications before USCIS.

My experience comes from years of practicing in both the non-profit and private sector. Prior to being admitted into the Florida bar, I clerked for the Executive Office for Immigration Review, Miami Immigration Court. I interned at the fast paced, border city organization, Las Americas Immigration Advocacy Center, located in El Paso which has one of the highest migrants crossing rates in the US.

I concentrated on children’s rights work in Boston with the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts. My work aims to advance justice and accountability for abuses against migrants while helping them to safely naturalize in the US.
