As a Partner and Co-Founder of Schwartz & Schreiber, PLLC, Brianna Schwartz presents a new paradigm for music and entertainment law. Drawing on extensive legal experience in music, entertainment, intellectual property, and creative business development, she not only represents, but also elevates a diverse roster of GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum talent, festival curators, record labels, industry disruptors, and innovators.
She becomes a trusted partner to every client, pursuing and actualizing long-term goals together. Prior to launching Schwartz & Schreiber, PLLC, Brianna spent almost four years at Miami-based law firm DiSchino & Schamy, PLLC as a senior associate. During this time, she utilized her rooted background and nuanced understanding of the music and entertainment industries, along with her strong contract drafting and business negotiation skills to cultivate the firm’s music and entertainment practice, where she was named department head.
She also managed and developed unique processes for the firm’s extensive intellectual property portfolio, consisting of over five hundred domestic and international trademark and copyright applications, for which she deftly executed registration, monitoring, enforcement, and licensing. She took the first step on her journey while enrolled at the University of Miami School of Law and the University of Miami Frost School of Music (obtaining a Juris Doctorate and a Master’s in Music Business and Entertainment).
She held legal clerkships at influential entertainment firm Ziglaw (now Greenspoon Marder LLP), leading electronic dance music festival Ultra Music Festival, and Viacom International Media Networks. At the latter, she developed her acumen as an astute attorney through reviewing and drafting complex commercial transactions for the development, production, distribution, and licensing of Viacom content across traditional and new media platforms.
She gained admission to the Florida Bar in 2016. Her dynamic experience also includes being an entrepreneur herself through founding and successfully growing an innovative startup and studying and practicing dance and piano from an early age. Maintaining a commitment to improving the world around her and giving back, she has actively supported charities in the past such as Miami Music Project, which empowers underprivileged children through the study and performance of music.
She is also a proud South Florida native.
