About Carleen Ashby Leffler

Carleen’s roots run very deep in the Sunshine State, especially in Seminole and Volusia Counties. She is a fifth generation Floridian and the first female in a long line of attorneys and judges, with her family even featured in the Sanford District Historical Museum. Practicing in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust administration and business law, Carleen attributes her success to a combination of care and concern for her clients and a commitment to being an avid listener.

Working with families as they plan for their future, getting to know them and their goals, and helping them face the future fully prepared are hallmarks of her law practice. Born and raised in Ormond Beach, Carleen told her family that she planned to be an attorney when she was eight-years-old, and she never wavered from that plan.

A highly motivated student, she was also a volleyball and softball athlete at Spruce Creek High School. After high school she went on to earn her B.S. degree at Webber International University and then earned her MBA from Jacksonville University while also attending law school at Florida Coastal School of Law, graduating with both degrees on the same day.

Her extensive legal experience includes work in a number of practice areas and provides a firm foundation for her current estate planning work. Carleen and her husband enjoy spending time with family and friends in their community. They stay very busy with their five dogs, including a long-haired Chihuahua, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Husky-Ridgeback Mix and German Shepherd, ranging in size from 10 to 100 pounds.

Education: Webber International University, B.S., Business Management, 2008; Jacksonville University, MBA (specialization in management), 2011; Florida Coastal School of Law, J.D. 2011. Member: The Florida Bar, Volunteer Bar Liaison Committee Member (2019-2021); Volusia County Bar Association, Young Lawyer Division – Director (2018-present).

Civic: Junior League of Daytona Beach – State Public Affairs Committee Co-Chair (2019-2020); Rotary Club of Downtown Ormond Beach – President-Elect (2020-2021), Secretary (2019-2021), Programs Chair (2018-2019); Business Network International (BNI), BNI Power Team – Chapter Vice President (2019-2020).
