Christina Kimball earned her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Central Florida in 2007, and her Juris Doctor with Honors from Stetson University College of Law in 2010. Ms. Kimball is admitted to practice in the Courts of Florida as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
While attending Stetson, Ms Kimball served as a Senior Associate on the Stetson Law Review, a prestigious student-run organization responsible for the publication of scholarly journals focusing on various legal issues. During her time on law review, Ms. Kimball edited scholarly articles authored by prominent figures in the legal community.
Also, while on law review, Ms. Kimball composed an original comment under the guidance of Judith Scully, a professor of law at Stetson. Ms. Kimball also had the valuable opportunity to participate in three judicial internships while attending Stetson, including internships at Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and Pinellas County Civil Court.
In addition to judicial internships, Ms. Kimball was a Certified Legal Intern at the Pinellas County Public Defender’s Office. While at the Public Defender’s Office, she strengthened her advocacy skills and advanced her passion for criminal defense through representation of criminal defendants during hearings and at trial.
Aside from internships, Ms. Kimball also had the inimitable opportunity to work closely with a prominent professor and legal researcher—Ellen S. Podgor. Ms. Kimball served as Research Assistant to Ms. Podgor; a renowned researcher, writer, and blogger of all matters related to white-collar crime.
While attending Stetson, Ms. Kimball was awarded theVictor O. Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for dedication and service to those unable to afford legal services. She was also a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity and recipient of the Judge Raphael Steinhardt Scholarship.
Ms. Kimball is active in the Hillsborough and St. Petersburg Bar Associations, as well as theHerbert G. Goldburg Criminal Law American Inn of Court. She is also a member of theNational Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Hillsborough County Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
In her spare time, Ms. Kimball greatly enjoys volunteering. She has served on the board of directors of a renowned policy-based non-profit organization. Currently, Ms. Kimball serves as an active volunteer with the Guardian ad Litem Program for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. The Guardian ad Litem Program strives to protect the rights and advocate for the best interests of abused or neglected children involved in court proceedings.
