VISIT MY WEBSITE TO LEARN ABOUT ME AND MY FIRM. I am a lawyer with more than twenty years of experience, including substantial experience litigating against household name corporate defendants. The primary focus of my practice is representing individuals who are victims of defective tires, other automotive products, and other defective products including bicycles.
I have extensive experience handling cases involving tread separation failures a.k.a. tread belt detachments or tire blowouts. I recently obtained a $5.6 verdict as lead counsel for a family injured when a Goodyear G159 tire failed by a tread belt detachment mechanism. I also handle employment discrimination, malpractice, consumer rights, and general personal injury cases.
I am located in the Tampa Bay area, but I handle cases through the United States. At many law firms -- especially those who handle a high volume of practice and who advertise on billboards and television -- cases are assigned to young associate attorneys, and the lawyer the client thought they hired may never even touch the case.
Conversely, I personally handle and oversee all work on my clients' cases. I graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin in 1988 with a BA in English. I was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fratenity at Lawrence, where I made some life-long friendships. I graduated from Washington University School of Law in 1991, earning a Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Washington University was recently named one of the top 20 law schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Because of my fairly unique emphasis on tire and automotive product defects, I have a national practice. I have handled cases around the country involving defective components including in: Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Georgia, California, Florida and other jurisdictions.
