Mr Lagos has received an AV Peer Review Rating by the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory after a confidential peer review from members of the Bar and Judiciary. According to Martindale-Hubble, an AV Peer Review Rating is the preeminent rating, indicating "the highest level of legal ability" and "the pinnacle of professional excellence.

Mr Lagos began his legal career representing victims of crimes on behalf of the State of Florida as a Prosecutor in Miami-Dade County in 1998. He handled hundreds of cases ranging from traffic fatalities to first-degree and life felonies.
He argued before Florida's Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Appeals, and tried numerous jury and bench trials as lead counsel with the majority of charges involving violent felonies. Mr Lagos completed his tenure assigned to the Career Criminal Robbery Division, a specialized trial unit prosecuting violent career criminals.
In 2001, Mr Lagos entered private practice. Since then, he has focused on pursuing justice for injured plaintiffs in civil claims and has litigated, tried, and resolved several large and complex damage cases for his clients against automobile and casualty insurance companies, trucking and transportation corporations, major consumer product and automobile manufacturers, and other entities and corporations.
Mr Lagos has conducted speaking engagements to law students and practicing attorneys. His most recent speaking engagement was a Continuing Legal Education seminar titled "Expert Witness Retention & Discovery" on January 29, 2013. Mr Lagos hosted a weekly local radio call-in talk show addressing current legal events and other legal topics.
He has guest lectured for Judge David M. Gersten's Litigation Skills course at St. Thomas University School of Law. Mr Lagos also judges litigation skills activities at St. Thomas University School of Law, Florida International University School of Law, and the University of Miami School of Law. Mr Lagos is an Honors Graduate with a degree of Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1998.
He was selected to serve on the Moot Court Board, directed the Advanced Moot Court Competition, was inducted to the Honors Legal Fraternity of Phi Delta Phi, earned Dean's and Honors List recognition, assisted first-year law students as a Legal Research & Writing Advisor, and served as a member of the National Mock Trial Team.
Mr Lagos graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in 1995. In college, he co-taught a first-year English writing skills course, was inducted to the Alpha Kappa Delta Sociology Honor Society, served as captain of the football team, and hosted a weekly radio show. Mr Lagos is admitted to practice in Florida (1998), Washington, D.
C., the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
