About Cindy Laquidara
Cindy Laquidara is a Partner with Akerman based in Jacksonville, Florida. She works in the firm’s Litigation practice and has earned admission to the bar in Florida, Massachusetts, and New York. She is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in City, County & Local Government Law. Cindy received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, where she graduated magna cum laude and served on the Editorial Board of the Law Review. Before her graduate school education, Cindy graduated cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. Cindy Laquidara commands over 30 years of experience navigating commercial litigation, environmental litigation, government and utility contracting, and government affairs issues. As the former general counsel of the City of Jacksonville, she has acted as lead trial counsel on an extensive portfolio of significant cases. Her professional history spanned representation of both public and private companies in intricate litigation at both the federal and state level. She has litigated procurement, toxic tort, Title VII, pensions, contract, ADA, federal aviation, First Amendment, real estate & redevelopment matters, and more as trial counsel. Cindy has also served as appellate counsel in similar matters.
