R. CORY SCHNEPPER, ESQUIRE, practices Workers’ Compensation, labor, and employment law as a shareholder in the law firm of LEVINE, SCHNEPPER & SANDLER, P.A. He specializes in the area of Workers’ Compensation, The Americans with Disabilities Act, and other disability related fields, as well as employees’ rights in the work place.
Cory is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and he received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. After graduating from law school, Cory became a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation section, the Florida Justice Association (formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers), where he was awarded the 2001 Gold Eagle Award and the 1993 Silver Eagle Award, the American Association for Justice (formerly the Academy of Trial Lawyers of America), the Miami-Dade County Bar Association, and the Miami-Dade County Trial Lawyers Association.
He is also a member of Florida Workers’ Advocates. In addition, he also practices in Federal Court, where he is a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the district courts for the Middle District of Florida, and the Trial Bar for the Southern District of Florida.
A recipient of the Friends of 440 Honorary Award in 1997, he is also a past President, and presently a Trustee, of that organization. Likewise, he is a Trustee, and was for many years the Statewide Treasurer, of the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, Inc. Cory is Florida Bar Board Certified in the area of Workers’ Compensation, since 1988, and is also rated as an AV attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
He is a past member of the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Certification Committee, and was previously also the Chairman of that committee. In 1994, Cory was awarded the Florida Workers’ Advocate Speaker Award, and in 1996 he was awarded the Community Advocacy Award by the Dade County Deaf Services Bureau.
In 2018, he was invited to be one of the first members of the Richard A. Sicking Inns of Court, as a Master Member, and he continues to be a member of that Inns of Court. He has also lectured frequently in the fields of Workers’ Compensation and disability discrimination, and has appeared as an expert in these fields on both television and radio.
