Daniel D. Peck graduated from the University of Virginia, where he was on the Dean’s List, with a B.A. in Economics. At law school he was elected to the Order of the Coif, Phi Kappa Phi honorary fraternity, Forum Honor Society and received the University Honors Award for graduating in the top 10 percent of his class, and served as an Editor on the Board of the Law Review.
He is a former Associate Editor of the Connecticut Bar Journal and former instructor in litigation at Fairfield University. He was also a lecturer in the Connecticut Bar Association Practice and Procedure Continuing Education Program. He is a former chairman of the Education and Employee Compensation Committees of the Westport, Connecticut town governing body, former President of the Friends of the Westport Library, former state legal counsel to the Connecticut Federation of Young Republicans and President of its Westport-Weston Chapter, and was campaign manager for his Connecticut State Representative.
Shortly before moving to Naples, Daniel Peck successfully handled a suit which overturned the results of the Westport, Connecticut election, including defense of an appeal to the Connecticut Supreme Court and a related federal court case. He was the treasurer for the successful 1986 campaign of Collier County Commissioner Arnold Glass.
In 1987 Daniel Peck served on and wrote the majority report for the Collier County Single District Committee, which proposal was adopted changing the method of electing the Collier County Commission. In 1988 he served as Chairman of the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce Committee on County Growth Planning and Management.
In Naples, Daniel Peck has given lectures in estate planning in different seminars sponsored by Merrill Lynch, the American Heart Association, Gulfshore Insurance and Southeast Bank, N.A. (where he also lectured on corporate and business issues). In October, 1990 he was one of two attorneys from the United States to be invited to Toronto as guests by The Law Society of Upper Canada (the licensing and continuing legal education body for lawyers in Ontario), to address Canadian attorneys on estate planning and estate tax issues for Canadians owning property in the United States.
He has been a member of the Collier County Republican Executive Committee and the Collier County Estate Planning Council. Daniel Peck served two terms as President of the Lorian Condominium in Telluride, Colorado and served as Vice-President of the Grande Excelsior condominium in Naples. He concentrates his practice on the areas of estate planning and probate, and real property including representing associations and developers.
