Dan Blonsky joined the firm in 1992, after commencing his legal career in Washington, D.C. at a large national firm. Mr Blonsky has been a shareholder with the firm since 1999. He has tried many cases in federal and state court and in binding arbitration, and has successfully argued cases on appeal before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and Florida's District Courts of Appeal.
Mr Blonsky represented the appellant in Montes v. Shearson-Lehman Brothers, Inc., the only decision ever where the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals vacated an arbitration award for being in manifest disregard of the law. His practice areas include employment litigation, contract disputes, product liability, construction litigation, professional liability, securities litigation and sexual torts.
Mr Blonsky has served the profession through articles and lectures on employment law matters, and also has authored and lectured on several commercial litigation topics for Florida Bar approved seminars and The Florida Bar Journal. He is the past president of the Board of Directors of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services and has served on the Boards of several other local nonprofit organizations.
He is regularly honored through voting by his peers as one of Florida's top lawyers in publications such as The South Florida Legal Guide, the "Florida Legal Elite" issue of Florida Trend Magazine and Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.
