About Darcy Danene Galnor
Darcy Galnor is a graduate of Ohio State University and earned her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville. She is one of the few female criminal defense lawyers in Northeast Florida that is board-certified in criminal trial law. Darcy, who is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, has extensive experience in criminal law on both sides of the courtroom. She began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Duval and Clay counties, prosecuting cases from misdemeanors to capital crimes for five years. She also served for four years as an Assistant Public Defender and was a senior member of the Major Crimes Unit and the Homicide Unit. Before moving to the Homicide Unit, she was a division chief, supervising two teams of felony attorneys in Jacksonville. She has tried dozens of criminal cases, from DUI cases to homicides. It was at the Public Defender's Office that Darcy discovered her passion for criminal defense. Darcy is an expert in criminal trial law and focuses all her efforts in that area of the law. Before choosing to attend law school, Darcy worked as a newspaper reporter at the Battle Creek Enquirer in Southwest Michigan. She primarily covered the police beat, writing about high-profile crime in the area. While at Ohio State, she was a reporter and editor at The Lantern , the campus newspaper, and covered stories including the DUI arrest of an All-American linebacker. Darcy is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Northeast Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Jacksonville Federal Bar Association as well as the Clay County Bar Association and the Jacksonville Bar Association. Darcy has also served as a Pupil and a Barrister in the Chester Bedell American Inn of Court.
