David A. Mercer is a Partner at Butler Pappas. David joined the liability department at Butler Pappas firm in 2004. David received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from Florida State University in 1995. He received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami in 1998.

He was awarded the Order of the Coif upon graduation. David is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in all of the state courts of Florida, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
