His skills and expertise, are built upon a foundation which began with a bachelors degree in criminology, ten years as a law enforcement officer during which he progressed from a patrol officer, to investigator, to supervisor, to command level supervisor and his experience in the investigation prosecution and defense of  criminal cases.

He has continued to build on his foundation of experience and education  by teaching law enforcement officers, law students, practicing lawyers and everyday people in the fields of constitutional law, criminal law, forensics, investigation, search and seizure and the law of use of force in defending others.

He has been chosen to be an expert in criminal investigation, search and seizure, defense investigation of criminal cases, criminal law, and criminal procedure. He has the experience and education to evaluate whether a case is valid, whether the officers have conducated a professional investigation, whether the case is appropriately charged and what the potential defenses are in any case.

The people represented by David have come from every walk of life, blue color, white collar; poor, rich; formally educated as well as those whose only post grade school education has been the school of life.
