About David Edward Platte

David E. Platte was born and raised in the small, rural town of Waverly, Iowa.  He graduated in 1972, summa cum laude from Wartburg College a private, liberal arts college.  In addition to pursuing his academic goals, Mr Platte found time to play Division III college basketball. He was a two time Academic All-American.

When Mr Platte graduated, he was one of only ten university/college basketball players in the nation to be awarded a post-graduate scholarship from the NCAA. Mr Platte applied his post-graduate scholarship at the University of Florida, College of Law, graduating with a juris doctor degree, with honors, in 1975.

Mr Platte is admitted to practice, and has actually practiced, in the states of Florida, Colorado and Iowa. When Mr Platte is not serving his clients, he still enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, water sports, snow skiing, as well as art galleries, museums and cultural events.
