David Bowers, a shareholder with Jones Foster Johnston & Stubbs, has over thirty years of experience in estate planning and business planning and tax planning.  He concentrates his practice in the complicated issues of estate planning, pension and profit sharing plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans and health plans.

Mr Bowers received the 2016-2017 " Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year" award which was presented at The Florida Bar Tax Section Annual Meeting at the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach.  He was named "West Palm Beach 2014 Lawyer of the Year" in Tax Law by Best Lawyers in America and is listed as a Florida Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Florida Super Lawyers Magazine ; has been recognized as one of the Top Lawyers in South Florida by the South Florida Legal Guide, and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for over 20 years .

He was the Chair of the Tax Section of the Florida Bar from 1999 - 2000, and a member for over 30 years; Chair of the Tax Law Certification Committee of the Florida Bar from 1996 - 1997 and a member from 1992 - 2002; Chair of the Palm Beach Tax Institute from 1991 - 1992; and the President of the Palm Beach County Fringe Benefit Council from 1986- 1989.

Mr Bowers is a member of the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council, Inc.
