About David Reich Chase

As the founder of the Law Firm of David R. Chase, P.A., I have an extensive background in securities litigation. I began my career in securities litigation working as a defense lawyer for large brokerage houses at Greenberg Traurig, an international law firm in Miami. There, I gained valuable experience in the field and an understanding of how major financial firms build their defense in securities cases.

After my time at Greenberg Traurig, I began my years of service to the federal government. I held a position as Senior Counsel in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), and served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office Economic Crimes Division before moving my legal career in the direction of private practice.

My practice has been dedicated exclusively to dealing with securities litigation cases. In addition to working as both a prosecuting and defense attorney in securities litigation, I have been called upon by the Federal Court to protect the rights of securities investors as a Receiver in SEC enforcement cases.

My other qualifications include serving as the Dade County Bar Association’s Chairman of the Securities Litigation Committee and the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association’s Co-Chair of the Securities Enforcement Subcommittee. Others have recognized my expertise in the area of securities litigation by featuring me as a guest speaker on issues in securities law and retaining me as an expert witness in securities law cases.

I have written and published numerous articles on securities law. I currently serve as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law where I teach a course in SEC Enforcement Litigation. My range of experience in securities law provides me with unique insights that allow me to successfully represent my clients.
