A native of Southern California and the first person in her family to attend college, Davina received Bachelor of Science degrees in both criminology and communications from Florida State University, where she was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and a Panhellenic Association recruitment counselor.
In 2003, Davina earned her Juris Doctor at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. While in law school, she was a Public Interest Fellow for children and families, and a certified legal intern at the school’s Children and Families Clinic, receiving an Award of Merit from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Additionally, she was a member of Nova Law’s American Trial Lawyers Association. She also wrote a handbook on the Florida Relative Caregiver Program, which was distributed to several government agencies. A student advisor and frequent mock trial participant, Davina also studied European Union law in a summer-abroad program in Cambridge, England.
