Diana Figueroa, Esq. was born and raised in South Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1985. Ms. Figueroa began practicing law full time in 1986 in Florida as an Assistant State Attorney with the Office of the State Attorney, 18th Judicial District.
After gaining extensive jury trial experience, she continued her law career in private practice. While in private practice, Ms. Figueroa also worked as a Conflict Attorney for Brevard County and handled a multitude of felony criminal cases. In her private practice, Ms. Figueroa handled thousands of cases including all types of divorces, military divorces, adoptions, dependency, paternity, child support, relocation, pre-divorce planning, and domestic violence.
Ms. Figueroa started as a solo practitioner and has successfully grown her practice into a cohesive firm over the years with a team of lawyers, paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative personnel. She is grateful for the privilege of serving clients with a high standard of excellence. Ms. Figueroa has been married for 31 years, raised four children, and is a proud grandmother, so she understands the value and importance of family.
Ms. Figueroa believes that every case deserves complete diligence and preparation. Believing in the value of a strong attorney-client relationship, she takes the time to get to know each client. Once she has heard your story and gotten to know you and your situation, she can discuss your options and review the process ahead.
Every step of the way, Ms. Figueroa anticipates what will come next and acts in her clients’ best interests. She aspires to facilitate solutions to legal issues and, when possible, avoid costly litigation. In the event that mediation and negotiation do not yield the desired results, Ms. Figueroa represents clients through litigation and competently prepares their cases for trial presentation.
As a litigation coach for clients, Ms. Figueroa takes the time to explain all the steps of the legal process and helps her clients develop appropriate communication skills in divorce and custody cases. She makes it a priority to directly work with her clients so that they feel fully prepared in advance for their court case.
In addition to her law practice, Ms. Figueroa is involved in local community groups. She volunteers and assists the community of the disadvantaged to promote easier navigation of their day-to-day living needs. She has been involved with her church at Calvary Chapel of Melbourne and previously was a facilitator for Crown Ministries and later the Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University Course.
She also served as a volunteer as a Sunday school teacher for three-year-olds.
