About Don Christopher Alfonso

I'm a twelve-year attorney and licensed member of the Florida Bar with a well-rounded background in handling both transactional and contested estate, guardianship and family law matters.  I'm a frequent speaker at continuing education seminars hosted by local bar associations and financial planning firms and devote a significant amount of time each year as a pro bono attorney for Bay Area Legal Services.

Prior to becoming a sole practitioner, I worked as an analyst for a multinational bank where I recommended transfer tax strategies and drafted comprehensive estate and financial plans for high net worth individuals.  I've also clerked for a prominent trust and estates litigation firm in West Palm Beach, FL and worked as an associate for an AV-rated general practice firm in Clearwater, FL.

Academically, I graduated with honors from South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX and spent my third year of law school as a visiting student at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law and an additional year as a postgraduate in the University of Florida’s LL.M. tax program.  During law school, I participated in intramural mock trial competitions, served as President of the Florida Law Students Association and interned for both a federal judge and a former U.

S. Congressman. Last but certainly not least, I'm a die-hard Gator fan and a fourth-generation Floridian with a strong familiarity and affinity for the local community.  I have a keen interest in becoming board-certified in the area of wills, trusts and estates within the next three years and intend on staying involved in wealth management at the corporate level.
