Ms. Albite was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended Florida International University on various scholarships, including a Merit Scholars Scholarship, and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from North Carolina State University. Ms. Albite then attended St.
Thomas University School of Law where she obtained her juris doctor degree. While attending St. Thomas, Ms. Albite was a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Ellen Leesfield of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. Furthermore, Ms. Albite clerked at Downs, Brill, Whitehead, & Sage where she gained invaluable research experience in Personal Injury and Maritime and Admiralty Law.
She was also a Certified Legal Intern of the St. Thomas Immigration Clinic were she successfully tried several cases before Department of Homeland Security. During law school Ms. Albite was a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Hispanic Association of Law Students, and the Student Animal Defense Legal Fund.
Ms. Albite is currently a member of The Florida Bar. Ms. Albite practiced Real Estate, representing various Florida Banks in commercial and residential transactions before moving on to corporate defense work, exclusively representing Florida insurers all over the State. Ms. Albite defended insurance companies in presuit investigations, examinations under oath, declaratory actions, Umpire petitions, and civil litigations.
