Erik is licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients in courts in Georgia and Florida. Born May 24, 1965, in California, Mr Rosskopf moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands in 1969, where his father practiced law. While living in the U.S.V.I., Mr Rosskopf was a member of the Olympic, World Championship, and Pan-American swim teams from 1979 through 1984.
He attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he majored in advertising and journalism with a minor in economics. After graduating in 1987, he worked as a professional triathlete and coach before moving into the high-end bicycle business where he owned and operated one of Atlanta's top bicycle retail shops.
With the sale of his retail businesses, he attended John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia in the evenings while working full-time as a trial consultant at DecisionQuest where he studied juries and advised attorneys for Chrysler, BP, Ford, H&R Block, and dozens of other notable defendants on the presentation of their cases to the jury.
After balancing his job as a litigation consultant during the day and attending law school at night, Mr Rosskopf joined a small but active group of trial attorneys in Covington, GA . There he gained valuable trial experience quickly before moving to Jacksonville with his wife, Kathleen (a return home for her).
The couple moved here to be near her father in Jacksonville Beach and to return to coastal living. Kathleen's (Sutton) family ties run deep and wide in the beach communities and the two are excited about becoming part of the 1st Coast community. In his spare time Mr Rosskopf enjoys riding his bikes, ocean/river swims, surfing and working around the couple's St.
Johns County horse farm. They have two grown daughters and four grandchildren.
