About Ian Thomas Weldon
Ian was born and raised in New York before moving to Chicago with his family where he attended the University of Illinois as a scholar-athlete on the men’s swimming and track teams. In 1995, he moved to Jacksonville and attended law school at the Florida State College of Law and received his Masters in Business administration from the University of Florida and this Masters in Accounting from the University of North Florida.  He is an experienced trial attorney (Spanish speaking) with over a decade at the Jacksonville Public Defender’s office specializing in high profile homicide and death penalty cases with a strong background in business. He is happily married to his wife, Alicia and together they are raising 3 daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, spending time with his family, and rooting for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
