I have always been a problem solver.  Whether it’s with my family or my friends I’m the go to person when there’s a problem.  My love of the law began in my social studies class in high school where I read the famous legal case Brown v. the Board of Education. I knew then that the law was the vehicle where I could help solve problems on a larger scale.

  “Sometimes history takes things into its own hands” ( Justice Thurgood Marshall ) and over two decades later I pursued my dream of being a lawyer graduating from the University of Florida Levin College of Law with honors cum laude. Upon graduation from law school I competed for, and was awarded the prestigous Equal Justice Works Fellowship.

In conjunction with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County I created a program where I represented and assisted immigrant victims of domestic violence obtain restraining orders, gain legal status in the U.S. and represented them in divorce and child custody matters and personal injury issues relating to domestic violence.

I went to trial on a substantial number of cases and it was here that I fell in love with trial work.  My program was so successful that two years after its inception the U.S. Department of Justice adopted the project and provided me with additional grants and funding to expand the project. After leaving Legal Aid, my passion for helping other solve problems and my love of trial work led me to representing individuals accused of criminal offenses.

As an attorney at the Office of Regional Counsel, I aggressively and successfully represented clients charged with everything from petty theft to murder. Here I really honed my jury trial skills and was successful in gaining victories of acquittals for many of my clients. In 2012, I proudly opened the doors to my own law firm.

Every day I get to do what I enjoy doing the most -- that is helping my clients solve legal problems.   Using my strong trial and negotiation background, I help clients charged with theft crimes, battery and assault crimes, sex crimes and clients injured in car accidents, slip & falls and wrongful death.
