After being self employed for 12 years and towrds the end of my legal education, I made the decision that "partner" in a firm wasn't my ultimate goal. My true ultimate goal was to build something on my own, to create something from nothing and to help others at the same time. So I graduated and entered into the legal practice to pursue helping others with their business interests.
My dedication to the Central Florida entrepreneurial and business community remains strong as I dedicate time to practicing law. I don't practice like most attorneys; in fact, I won't send you an hourly statement and I'm not afraid to quote fixed fees and stick to them. I figure the more I help you, the more likely you are to succeed, which will benefit you, me, and our community.
I regularly mentor entrepreneurs and artists and work hand in hand with attorneys who specialize in sub sets areas of Law. Prior to attending law school I had already opened, operated and expanded to over seven ongoing business concerns in Orlando, FL. I served in student government for all four years and graduated cum laude , with an emphasis in Business and International Law.
I studied abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, England for a certificate in Public International Law, gaining valuable insight and connections. Additionally, an avid lover of art and history I studied at the University of Siena in Siena, Italy for a certificate in Art & Cultural Heritage, again learning valuable issues and meeting accomplished and key international colleagues.
My practice focuses on both civil litigation and all aspects of liquor license law .Including but not limited to legal services for businesses involved in liquor sales in Florida, the alcoholic beverages distribution business, clients at all levels of the distribution chain, restaurants, liquor stores and nightclubs.
With representation ranging from equity structure, formation, franchising, licensing, permitting and state administrative actions. I currently am the owner of numerous nightclubs and bars as well as an art gallery, restaurant and pizzeria. My experience in the practical day-to-day operations applied to the requirements of state and municipal regulations an owner must operate within, is proven and tested with over a decade of experience.
My passion for law and business extends to intellectual property protection for new and creative ideas in the hospitality industry. Additionally, my experience in venture capital has provided me with the practical knowledge of complex equity structures and licensing agreements necessary for franchising ideas either domestic or internationally.
