About Johanna Christina Cipau

Experienced criminal defense and civil litigation attorney, licensed since 2011 in Florida. Before moving to South Florida, Johanna attended Boston University and earned her B.S. Degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Business law. After graduating from Boston University, Johanna attended University of Mississippi where she received her J.

D. with certification in Criminal Law and graduated early in two and a half years. Johanna began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for the 17th Judicial Circuit. While at Public Defender's Office, she was assigned to both misdemeanor and felony divisions. Johanna has tried cases before a jury in both first and second chair capacity, and managed an extensive case load, from traffic criminal offenses to life felonies.

Following her time at the Public Defender's Office, Johanna was employed in the field of civil litigation. She gained extensive civil litigation experience on both the Plainitff and Defense side for firms in South Florida. She has argued numerous hearings and taken and defended depostions and examinations under oath.

After gaining more than six years active litigation experience, Johanna teamed up with long-time friend and former co-worker, Magda Janicki, to form their own law firm. The JAM Law Group focuses on both criminal and civil litigation for trial and pre-suit work. JAM emphasizes creative and aggressive litigation solutions and an individualized, caring approach to client management.
