About John Joseph Wilke
Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1987, John has extensive experience in all aspects of insurance defense and complex litigation. He has tried over 100 cases to jury verdict and is AV rated by Martindale – Hubbell. He is included in the Bar Register of Preeminent Attorneys and has been selected for lifetime achievement membership in “America’s Top 100 Attorneys” as well as “Top Lawyers in Florida”. He is an advocate member and Senior Life Fellow of The American Board of Trial Advocates and served as President of the Palm Beach County Chapter. He has served on the Florida House of Representatives Insurance Committee’s Panel on Insurance Fraud and has testified before select committees of both the Florida House of Representatives and Senate in this area on numerous occasions. He served as the Advisory Attorney to the National Insurance Crime Bureau’s Task Force on Insurance Fraud and was appointed the Vice Chair of the Florida Insurance Council’s Automobile Insurance Committee during the 2005 legislative session. He was the Regional Corporate Claims Legal Counsel to a Fortune 500 insurance company and was responsible for the oversight and management of complex litigation and bad faith issues for the Gulf Region of the United States. He is frequently called upon to lecture on topics of bad faith litigation and trial technique. John specializes in the defense of complex insurance cases and the civil prosecution of suspected fraudulent activity. He has obtained a number of notable defense verdicts on multi-million dollar exposure cases, including cases featured on national media outlets. He has litigated cases brought by insurance companies against health care clinics and entities engaged in staged accidents and fraudulent activities and has obtained multi-million dollar judgments against those defendants.
