Jordan A. Shaw is a partner at Zebersky Payne Shaw Lewenz, LLP. He is Chair of the firm’s Consumer Litigation Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Jordan represents individuals and businesses in complex commercial litigation, consumer litigation, and class action litigation matters.
He has substantial experience litigating partnership disputes, corporate dissolutions, derivative actions, contract disputes, securities fraud cases, and other complex business matters. In addition, as Chair of the firm’s Consumer Litigation Practice Group, Mr Shaw handles matters involving state and federal consumer protection laws, deceptive trade practices, illegal fees, balance billing, consumer debt collection, and financial services.
Jordan is consistently certified as class counsel by state and federal courts and is regularly lead counsel in trials and evidentiary hearings across the State of Florida. Mr Shaw serves on the University of Miami Law Alumni Association Board of Directors, and has lectured at the University of Miami School of Law and various continuing legal education seminars.
He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2016-2021 and his cases have been featured in publications such as the Daily Business Review, Law 360, Local 10 News, Channel 7 News, CBS Miami, NBC 4 New York, The Miami Herald, The Transportation Lawyer, Courtroom View Network, and The Real Deal.
Prior to joining Zebersky Payne Shaw Lewenz, LLP, Jordan A. Shaw, Esq. was the Managing Partner and co-founder of the South Florida business and trial firm, Shaw Lewenz, LLC, and completed two judicial externships in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida; one with Federal Magistrate, Alicia M.
Otazo Reyes, and another with the Honorable James Lawrence King. Mr Shaw is an alumnus of The University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received membership to the Order of the Coif, a national honor given only to those “who have demonstrated the highest academic achievement.
