About Joseph Arthur Linnehan
When asked about practicing law for over 35 years, I always tell folks that no matter what type of case I have had in the past or who I represented, everyone was treated the same and everyone got the best representation possible. Â And the reason is that in every case, no matter the facts or who was the opposing counsel, I was never out worked. Â Preparation and hard work can make the difference in winning and losing a case. Â There is no substitute. That work ethic was instilled in me by my parents, neither of whom attended college. Â They stressed the importance of getting a good education and sacrificed so both my sister and I had opportuniites they never had. Â My parents lived a life of 'family values' and lead by example. Â When I looke back at my life, I am proud not only of being a lawyer but of giving back to the community. Â From serving on various bar committees to helping with the church fair to serving on the school board at a local Catholic school to coaching Little League and even lecturing on an occasional basis at FGCU, this is what we all should do as community leaders.
