About Julia Melanie Slaughter

I am a former prosecutor and worked for five years at the State Attorney's Office.  I prosecuted cases in all five counties within the fifth judicial circuit (Marion, Citrus, Sumter, Lake and Hernando).  I handled all types of cases from DUI to First Degree Murder.  I also worked as a drug prosecutor and economic crimes prosecutor during my time with the office.

  I am a board certified criminal trial attorney which allows me to represent myself as a specialist in criminal trial law.  Since leaving the State Attorney's Office, I have advocated on behalf of those charged with crimes and have dedicated my pratice to ensuring their rights are protected.  If you are charged with a crime, you need the protection of an attorney who is a specialist in criminal trial law.
