About Karen Anderson Johnson

Since 1997, Karen has devoted the majority of her practice to appellate and post-conviction litigation. As an Assistant Attorney General, Karen briefed and argued more than 25 death penalty cases before the state supreme court and various lower courts. In addition to her appellate experience, Karen litigated hundreds of criminal cases as a prosecutor for the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.

Karen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Richmond. In addition to being licensed to practice law in Florida, Georgia, and Texas, Karen is also licensed to practice in the United States Supreme Court.

  Karen has extensive experience briefing and arguing direct appeals and litigating all types of post-conviction motions.
