About Kelli Biferie Hastings

I am an experienced appellate attorney, with over 100 appeals as lead counsel. In addition, I am a well-versed civil trial litigator, having worked for several years as staff counsel for a large insurance company defending personal injury claims. I am board certified in workers’ compensation. For over ten years I concentrated my practice on workers' compensation cases and writing and arguing workers' compensation appeals, with a focus on the special statutes related to first responders, like my late father, a City of Orlando Firefighter.

The focus of my law practice has shifted in recent years, after family tragedy and several trips to study yoga in India changed my perspective on life and work. I left my career as a partner in a large law firm to become a solo practitioner and spend more time writing, teaching, and being home with family.
