Kelli L. Mitchell dedicates her practice primarily to family law matters, including all aspects dissolution of marriage, collaborative divorce, post judgment enforcement and modification, and marital agreements. Ms. Mitchell began her career with a prominent Tampa law firm, focusing her practice exclusively on family law matters, many of which involved high net worth clients and complex litigation.
Since then, her solo practice has grown to include collaborative divorce, a relatively modern alternative to traditional litigation. A member of the Tampa Bay community for over 25 years, Ms. Mitchell received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law, following in the footsteps of her mentor, best friend and father, Joe M.
Mitchell, Jr. During her final semester at Stetson, Ms. Mitchell worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the Pinellas County State Attorney’s office, primarily appearing in Dependency Court. Aside from the experience gained from a broad base of client’s, Ms. Mitchell has devoted herself to gaining additional experience and knowledge by attending various seminars and symposiums focusing on family law and professional ethics.
Ms. Mitchell’s experienced approach and dedication to meeting her client’s needs is of paramount importance to her practice. Her goal is not only to provide excellent legal representation and service, but also to give each and every client personalized and compassionate attention they deserve. Ms.
Mitchell is a member of the Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and serves on HCBA’s Executive Counsel for the Family Law Section. She is also a member of the Stann W. Givens Family Law Inn of Tampa – American Inns of Court, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Tampa and serves on the Board of Directors for Jacob's Touch, a foundation devoted to providing grants for families with autistic children.
In 2014, Ms. Mitchell was selected as one of Florida Trend’s Legal Elite.
