Attorney Kevin M. LaMontagne is a 1982 graduate of Duke University School of Law, and he has been practicing in Palm Beach County, Florida since 1982. He has been a Member of The Florida Bar since 1982. He has a wide range of transactional and litigation experience and has successfully assisted clients with a wide array of situations and problems, including business and personal legal transactions.
He is known for his representation of business clients in important transactions such as commercial leases, business contracts, formation of business entities, and commercial litigation. He represents clients of all ages in important legal contracts and other legal transactions and disputes in which they are involved, including drafting and review of residential leases, evictions, foreclosure defense, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and a host of estate planning matters and related issues, including the drafting of wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care surrogates, ladybird deeds (also known as enhanced life estate deeds),and preneed declarations of guardian.
He represents people in real estate transactions, and he himself is a Florida licensed real estate broker. He also has a special understanding of the needs of seniors, and he offers free consultations to them at the Boynton Beach Senior Center on most Wednesday mornings. He is admitted to the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
He has represented clients who have needed to file bankruptcy, and he is experienced in bankruptcy litigation. Attorney Kevin LaMontagne was born in Massachusetts, but he has been a local resident of the Palm Beach County community since 1964 when he was just a young child. He attended Saint Mark School in Boynton Beach, Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, and Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale before attending the University of South Florida where he received his Bachelor's Degree in 3 years, magna cum laude.
