Ms. Simms Dunbar has a mobile practice which utilizes technology to serve her clients in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota/Manatee and Pasco Counties. Her practice areas include Family Law, Wills and Trusts, and Small Business Law. Born and raised in Tampa, Lakeisha attended Thomas Jefferson High School and obtained a certificate from the International Academy of Law and Criminal Justice before becoming a Florida State Seminole.

During her time at FSU, Ms. Simms Dunbar pursued an undergraduate degree in Communications and was an active member of the Black Student Union Political Action Committee, Golden Key Honor Society, National Society for Collegiate Scholars and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. Upon completion of her degree, Ms.

Simms Dunbar went on to attend Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, studying various areas of law, including bankruptcy, family law and children and the law. She was President of the Black Law Students Association and interned with the Child Advocacy Clinic of at the 6th Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office.

Ms. Simms Dunbar worked part-time at The Coleman Law Group while pursuing her law degree before passing the Florida Bar and joining the firm as an Associate Attorney. In 2015, Ms. Simms Dunbar opened her solo mobile practice in the areas of Family Law,  Wills and Trusts, and Small Business Law. Ms.

Simms Dunbar is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar's Young Lawyers Division, General Practice Solo and Small Firm Section, Legal Needs of Children Committee 2014–2017 and Family Law Section: CLE, Children's Issues and Support Issues Committee.

Ms. Simms also volunteers as an Attorney ad Litem for children in foster care through Crossroads for Florida Kids. Lakeisha's passion is helping each and every client achieve the best outcome possible—from the joy of incorporating a new business to successfully negotiating a time-sharing schedule between ex-spouses.

In her spare time, Ms. Simms enjoys traveling with her family and volunteering with the Junior League of Tampa.
