Luis A. Mena, Esq. is the founding attorney at the Miami insurance law firm, Mena Law Firm. Mr Mena was born and raised in New Jersey, and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami. He then earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center.

After graduating from law school, Attorney Mena became a member of the Florida State Bar, and is licensed to practice law in State and Federal courts throughout Florida. Mr Mena began working in the insurance industry as a clerk for a law firm that defended insurance carriers, which later became exclusive counsel for a national insurance company.

Attorney Mena is a member of one of the Florida Bar’s Grievance Committees, which is dedicated to investigating complaints made against lawyers for possible ethics violations. Throughout his 15 years in the insurance industry, Attorney Mena has gained valuable insight into all aspects of the insurance industry, including insurance claims intake, claims handling, policy drafting, and the claims decision-making process.

He also witnessed first-hand the reasons why claims were denied or under-paid, and became familiar with the reasoning insurance companies used to justify their actions. After years of experience, Attorney Mena has made it his goal to assist individuals and companies whose insurance claims have been wrongfully denied, underpaid, or poorly handled.

At Mena Law Firm, Attorney Mena personally evaluates potential clients’ claims in a free initial consultation, where he works to uncover information regarding when, why, and how the claim happened, and if it was properly investigated and handled. He then works to come up with strategies that will be most beneficial to the client’s specific needs, and offers them trusted legal counsel throughout the entirety of their case.
