Matt A. Habibi was born and raised in south Florida. Mr Habibi attended Saint Thomas Aquinas High School and Florida State University where he received his Bachelor of Science with a double major in Political Science and International Affairs with a concentration in Economics. Mr Habibi went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra Law School in New York.
Upon graduation, Mr Habibi joined L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini, LLP as part of the professional liability defense practice group. Mr Habibi moved back to Florida in 2005 and joined the commercial litigation practice group at Haley, Sinagra, Paul & Toland, PA. Thereafter Mr Habibi joined the Legal & Compliance Group at the Corporate Executive Board, a best practices think tank in Washington DC.
Working as a consultant and director of business development, Mr Habibi worked closely with the General Counsel and Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer of Fortune 500 companies, includingVerizon Communications, TheHome Depot, ING, Hess Corp., QUALCOMM, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Mr Habibi's chief responsibility was to assist the executives at these institutions find the solutions to their department's most critical and pressing challenges. Mr Habibi is the managing attorney and conducts the firm's day-to-day firmactivities. Mr, Habibi was admitted to the New York Bar in 2003 and the Florida Bar in 2005.
