About Matthew D Sandburg

Matt is a Board Certified Criminal Trial Attorney.  He  was born and raised outside of Chicago, IL. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received Bachelor Degrees in both Economics and Philosophy. Matt then attended the University of Miami School of Law where he maintained a Dean’s Merit Scholarship for all three years.

Matt has spent his entire professional career in Sarasota practicing Criminal Law, where he: Is Board Certified In Criminal Law - Trial Treasurer of the Sarasota Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Spent over five years as a Prosecutor here in Sarasota before opening his Criminal Defense Practice.

Admitted to practice in State Court as well as Federal Court in the Middle District of Florida. Has prosecuted over one thousand cases in Sarasota, including hundreds of DUI and Drug Charges. Tried over 40 cases to jury, this including over 15 DUI Trials, 20 Felony Trials, as well as Trials of DUI Manslaughter and Second Degree Murder.
