About Matthew Stephen Carney

Matthew Carney is a trial attorney practicing in the area of civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury. Matthew draws on his prior experience as an insurance defense attorney, commercial property and casualty underwriter, and licensed insurance agent. Matthew graduated from Stetson University College of Law in the top 10% of his class and was a recipient of the Victor O. Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.

While in law school, he served as a judicial intern for the Second District Court of Appeal under Judge Craig C. Villanti and for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida under Magistrate Judge Thomas G. Wilson. He is the proud father of two boys.
