About Michael Jason Merrill

I am a Partner in the Orlando office of Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. My areas of practice include all aspects of insurance and general liability defense, including personal injury defense, premises liability, automobile liability, automobile no-fault litigation, and insurance coverage disputes. I earned my Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law.

I received awards for the highest class grade in Legal Research and Writing I, Trade Regulations, and Consumer Protection while attending law school. Prior to attending law school, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with a minor in Business, from the University of Utah.  While attending the University of Utah, I was a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, a national Economics honor society.

I also serve the Rotary Club of Seminole County South Board of Directors.  As a member of Rotary, I currently co-chair the Coalition for the Homeless, a group which provides meals to approximately 400 individuals every few months.  I also participate with the Rising Achievers Program, and Seniors Intervention Group, and ring the bell for the Salvation Army during the holiday season.
