The Hughes Law Firm, P.A. was founded with the idea of helping those individuals who want to resolve their disputed issues using methods such as Collaborative Divorce and Mediation. These methods are designed to allow each party to have an advocate on their behalf, but are also designed to maintain focus on dispute resolution.

I strongly believe in these methods and personally feel that this is and will continue to be the way of the future in Florida family law. When you take the time to educate yourself about divorce and its effects on children, you will come to the understanding that divorce is painful for all of the individuals involved(especially the children).

Their are many negative effects that a divorce can have on the children and how they interact with others in the future, etc. The good news is that these negative side effects can be minimized through the use of lower conflict resolution methods such as collaborative divorce and mediation. However, not all individuals are mature enough, or focused enough on their children (over hating their spouse) to use these methods.

Those who do realize many benefits and their children enjoy added comfort and security of knowing everything will be okay in the end. I highly recommend using mediation and collaborative divorce for those with children as a means of resolving disputed issues and moving forward in a way that focuses on the best interests of your children.
