Michael Fuino began working at the law firm of Matthew D. Weidner, P.A. in January, 2010. His practice focuses primarily on consumer protection litigation, including foreclosure defense; unfair and deceptive trade practices; and fair debt collection practices. He has experience in both federal and state court, and has represented clients at both the trial and appellate levels.
In addition to his consumer protection practice, Michael is a VA accredited attorney able to assist combat veterans with the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of VA claim notice of disagreements (“NOD”) before Decision Review Officers (“DRO Review”) at local VA offices and substantive appeals before the Board of Veterans Appeals (“BVA”).
Michael also has experience with prosecution of claims for violations of the Servicemembers' Civil Relief Act ("SCRA"). Any veterans or active-duty military members with questions regarding VA benefits or potential SCRA claims are always welcome for a free consultation. Along with the firm’s managing partner Matthew Weidner, Michael is the author of “Foreclosing in a Hurricane: Florida Courts Struggle to Deal with a Crisis of Epic Proportions.
