About Nancy L. Cavey

Ms. Cavey, born in Baltimore, Maryland was profoundly affected when her father, co-owner of an insurance brokerage company, became disabled. She learned first hand of the devastating physical and financial consequences of disability and brings those insights to her practice as she aggressively fights for disability benefits due her clients.

Ms. Cavey received her BA with highest honors from Hamline University with distinction in American Studies. She is a 1980 graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. Since that time, she has practiced in the area of Workers’ Compensation, Social Security law and Wage & Hour claims.

She also represents disabled individuals in their ERISA and non-ERISA claims. She was Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar in 2004 and was honored to serve in this role as it is a peer selection among attorneys across the state. She is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives (NOSSCR), the American Justice Association, the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar and the National Employment Lawyers Association.

Ms. Cavey is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, their highest rating. She is licensed to practice in Florida and in the United States District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts.
