Nicholas Bruce is a member of the Collins Brown’s Trusts and Estate Group. His practice is focused on probate and trust administration, probate litigation, tax and estate planning, and business and real estate transactions. Mr Bruce represents individuals in structuring their estate plans to reduce tax liability and increase asset protection.
He also represents individuals and financial institutions with fiduciary administration matters. Nick graduated from Furman University with a degree in Management of Information Systems. In 2008, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University, where he was inducted into the National Order of Barristers – a national honor society recognizing excellence in advocacy.
He then graduated from Boston University with a Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation. In 2014 and 2015, he was listed among Florida’s “Rising Stars”, which identifies the top 2.5% of attorneys in Florida under age 40, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Super Lawyers.
He also has lectured at continuing education seminars on topics ranging from basic probate administration to complex tax minimization planning and the ethical duties of estate planning attorneys. Nick is past President of the Indian River County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. He is a member of the Indian River Estate Planning Counsel and Indian River Community Foundation Future Leaders Council.
He is a member of the Tax and Real Property and Probate Sections of the Florida Bar Association, and the Indian River County Bar Association. When Nick isn't working he is usually at home with his wife Christina and two year olds twins, although he occasionally tries to play golf.
