Alejandra received her Bachelor of Arts from New York University, where she double-majored in Journalism and Political Science. She attended St. Thomas University School of Law and was active in the Mock Trial team. She graduated law school and became licensed to practice law in Florida in 2007. She then became an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office.
She was one of the first prosecutors in her class to become promoted. She went from misdemeanor court, to juvenile and then to felony court. Alejandra was first chair in several jury and bench trials. After being a prosecutor, Alejandra started working at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. , where she gained experience in civil litigation.
She represented clients who were low-income and in dire need of legal help. She handled cases in the areas of family, landlord-tenant, bankruptcy and small claims. Alejandra is bilingual and can speak, read and write in Spanish. She was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Her hobbies include, boxing, working out, and reading.
