Peter A. Sartes is a shareholder of the Law Offices of Tragos, Sartes & Tragos, where he practices in the areas of state and federal criminal defense and personal injury law. He received his B.A., M.B.A., and J.D. from The University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio, and also attended Stetson College of Law, in Gulfport, Florida.
Mr Sartes was formerly with the Lucas County Public Defender’s Office in Toledo, Ohio, and a former Armor Officer in the United States Army. Mr Sartes is formerly a commercial real estate agent with CB Richard Ellis, where he specialized in retail and investment properties. Mr Sartes is the Past-President of the Clearwater Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, the former Chairman of the Clearwater Bar Association Technology Committee, the former Chairman of the Florida Bar Traffic Court Rules Committee, and the former liaison to the Florida Bar Rules of Judicial Administration Committee.
Mr Sartes currently serves as the Sixth Judicial Circuit representative to the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, The Florida Bar Code and Rules of Evidence Committee and on a Florida Bar Grievance Committee for the 6th Judicial Circuit. Mr Sartes is “BV” rated by Martindale-Hubble, the highest possible rating for attorneys in practice for under ten years.
He is listed as a “Rising Star” in Superlawyers Magazine, where no more than 2.5% of lawyers under 40 years of age are selected, and Mr Sartes is also rated Supurb by AVVO. Mr Sartes has had articles published in The Florida Bar Journal, The Record, the publication of the Appellate Section of the Florida Bar, Res Ipsa, the publication of the Clearwater Bar Association, and in The Florida Defender, the publication of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr Sartes appears in Marquis’ “Who’s Who in America”,“Who’s Who in the World” and is also an adjunct professor at St. Petersburg College where he teaches “Technology in the Law Office” for the paralegal degree program.
