About Ramon de la Cabada

I have extensive criminal law experience as an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor and Assistant State Attorney prior to opening my practice. I recieved my law degree from Florida State University College of Law . I was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1991. I have served as a chair of a Grievance Committe, which reviews complaints filed against lawyers.

I am a member of the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. I have also taught courses on criminal procedure and trial preperation to Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents and Florida Department of Banking and Finance investigators. I have also lectured on criminal law for the Florida Association of Volunteer Agencies, Caribbean Action.

I also serve as Legal Counsel and Lobbyist for a statewide association of bail bond agents. I am experienced in a wide range of criminal defense areas including but not limited to: jury trials, motion practice, oral arguments, discovery, evidentiary hearings and plea negotiations.
