In 1969, when I realized that my next stop was VietNam unless I applied to Law School for a deferment from active duty. (Smiling) 4.

Do you have unique experience that has influenced your professional life? Actually, two. First, I became an Eagle Scout in 1961.  Second, when I went to boot camp, I had golf clubs and a tennis racquet in my hand, and a D.I. came up to me, stared for a few minutes, and then said: “Son, somebody sure misled you”.

I never saw my clubs or racquet again. Both experiences taught me always to be prepared, and I have never been unprepared, in or out of court, again. 5. One thing most people don’t know about you is: I have a book of poetry, “Life is Simple Really”. Available for purchase on Amazon. (Still smiling) 6.

Do you have a favorite quotation: “Old age and wisdom shall defeat youth and skill” 7. Who or what inspires you? Epictetus and the Philosophy of the Stoics. 8. Favorite sport, hobby, activity or event? Reading and writing poetry, blogging, computers, and chess. 9. One place you would like to visit? Paris, France 10.
